Geotextiles Summary

Uses of Geotextiles

ROGEO non-wovens for geotextile use

Raw Material

ROGEO geotextiles are produced from polypropylene (PP), polyester (PES) or high-density polyethylene (PEHD), depending on their intended use. Our standard width is 5 meters (16,25 feet), with basis weights up to 2000 g/m² (60 oz/yd). Special widths and weights are produced according to client wishes.

Production of Geotextiles

Characteristics

Rogeo non - wovens

  • are produced by mechanically needling cut staple fibers into a firm, consistent and tight mat. The needling production step produces a firm mat that is still very flexible. This allows Rogeo Non-wovens to conform fully to variable, uneven ground conditions.
  • are free of chemicals or binders, due to the mechanical needling production step, thus, groundwater neutral.
  • are resistant to microbiological decay.
  • are not affected by acidic or basic solutions.
  • reduce the thickness (thus, cost) of fill gravel and sand by eliminating mixing of these materials with the earth. The advantage of less material also leads to lowered transport and labor expenses.
